SHとしてバランスのとれたプレーヤー。RWC2019では日本代表スコッド入りも出場機会はなし。2020-2021シーズンはトヨタ自動車でニュージーランド代表元主将キアラン・リードと共同主将。声をかけるタイミング、話し方など身近で学び、リーダーとしても成長。 A well-balanced player as scrum-half, Kaito did not have the opportunity to play despite being selected into the Japan national squad for RWC 2019. He served as co-captain for Toyota Verblitz, along with former New Zealand captain, Kieran Read, who taught him to improve his leadership skills by better communicating.
