エディー・ジョーンズが語るJAPAN WAY（2014年6月）

海外遠征（フィリピン、韓国、カナダ、アメリカ）を含めた9試合の連戦を終え、達成した目標が2つありました。

i) ラグビーワールドカップ2015の出場権を獲得したこと
ii) 世界トップ10入りしたこと

しかし、私達の最も重要な目標は2015年のラグビーワールドカップで準々決勝に出場することです。

この目標を成し遂げるには、継続した改善が必要です。より強く、より速くなること。そして、ラインアウトとキックオフ・レシーブの実行力を高めなければなりません（イタリア代表戦ではラインアウト、キックオフ・レシーブ共にボール獲得成功率22％）。

イタリア代表戦の結果は非常に喜ばしかったのですが、パフォーマンスに関しては残念な点が多々ありました。またラインアウトからクリーンボールを出せなかったため、なかなか日本代表に勢いがつきませんでした。これは今後、修正していかなければならないところです。必ず改善することをお約束いたします。

イタリア代表戦でのみなさんのスタジアムでの応援は素晴らしかったです！大きな歓声によるサポートは本当に私たちジャパンの支えになりました。引き続き応援をよろしくお願いいたします。ベスト・パフォーマンスはこれからです！

- Eddie's "JAPAN WAY"- 2014 June

After 9 games in a row plus trips to Philippines, Korea, Canada and USA, we accomplished two goals –

i) To qualify for the Rugby World Cup 2015
ii) To Make the Top 10 in the world

But the most important target is to make the quarterfinal at Rugby World Cup 2015.

To do this, we need continual improvement – we still need to get stronger, faster and improve our execution at lineout and kick-off reception (both 22% clean ball vs Italy).

We were delighted with the result vs Italy but disappointed in our performance. Our inability to win clean lineout ball meant it was hard for us to get momentum. We will improve this, I can assure you that.

What a great crowd to our last game – very vocal, very supportive – really helped us!! Keep supporting us – the best is yet to come!
