日本代表メンバーのほとんどの選手が現在北海道の網走で、8月に開幕するトップリーグに向けて備えています。 今後、国内ラグビーのスタンダードを上げていくためには、世界トップ10のインターナショナルプレーヤーらしい練習、試合を常に行っていく必要がある― そのようなメッセージを日本代表選手たちに伝えました。 7月中旬に行った菅平合宿では、マオリ・オールブラックス（マオリ代表）戦2試合に向けた良い土台を作ることができ、素晴らしい合宿となりました。マオリ代表は誇り高く、強いチームです。彼らの過去10年間の勝率は90％、2003年以来他国の代表チームに負けたことがありません。そこで、私達は新しい歴史を刻みたいのです。 2試合、勝てると信じています。 マオリ代表戦の後はお馴染みのヨーロッパチームであるルーマニア、グルジアと対戦します。両チームとも2年前に戦い、日本代表が勝利を収めています。ただ、ルーマニアから奪われたすべてのトライはスクラムを起点にしたものでした。 しかしながら日本代表のスクラムが向上している今、ゲームをコントロールできるでしょう。効果的なラインアウトによってテンポを作り、強いキックオフ・ディフェンスで勢いを取り戻すことができるでしょう。ジャパンのアタッキングラグビーにはセットピースが極めて重要なのです。 最後になりますが、春シーズンの間、素晴らしい応援ありがとうございました。 ジャパンはまだまだ進化していきますので、これからも応援をよろしくお願いします！ Eddie Jones - Eddie's "JAPAN WAY"- 2014 JulyMost of the National Squad Players are now ensconced in Abashiri preparing for the Top League season starting in August. We sent a strong message to the players that we expect them to train and play like Top 10 international players to help raise the standard of domestic rugby. We had a terrific camp in Sugadaira - establishing a base for the 2 tests vs the Maori All Blacks - a proud and strong team. They have won 90% of their games in the last 10 years. They have not been beaten by an international team since 2003, so we create new history. But 2 games we should expect to win. Following the Maoris we play familiar European teams in Romania and Georgia. Both teams we beat 2 years ago, with Romania scoring all of their points from the scrum. However, a stronger scrum now gives us more game control, an effective lineout gives us tempo, a strong kick-off defense gives us the chance to retain or regain momentum. Set piece is crucial to our attacking game. Lastly thanks for the great support during the spring season. We must keep improving and hope you will continue to support us! Eddie Jones |
