- Eddie's "JAPAN WAY"- 2013 September

We have just finished a 1 and a half day camp held at the first class Canon Sports Park. 18 players played on Sunday 6 October for their Top League or University team, so to train effectively on Monday and Tuesday took a huge physical and mental effort. Generally speaking, 48 hours after a game you do only light training to allow the body to fully recover, but given that we have 5 days before the “Lipovitan D Challenge Cup 2013” New Zealand game, we needed to get through some organization and also experience the physiological levels of a test match vs. New Zealand. The players trained very well at the camp – to beat New Zealand, you have to prepare to beat them – get physically right, be mentally tough and then have the courage to play your game against the best team in the world.
I believe we are preparing to do this, preparing to beat New Zealand.
The players now have 2 more Top League games, whilst New Zealand play Australia.
We assemble at the end of October and want to play the greatest game ever played by the Japan National Team. As a great American football coach said "You only have pressure when you don't know what you are doing".

We feel no pressure as we know what we are doing!
